Jacquie is a prolific speaker and quilt teacher. The International Association of Creative Arts Professionals named her quilt teacher of the year in 2014. Jacquie is a leader in the modern quilting movement and is at on the Board of the International Modern Quilt Guild for six years.
Jacquie is a passionate modern quilt maker and designer known for her innovative “out of the box” designs, striking message quilts and unique style using the walking foot. She is the author of two books “WALK” and WALK 2.0” that start at the basics to intricate marked designs as you master machine quilting with your walking foot. You can see most of the quilts she discussed in her gallery, here: She talked about looking where you're going, not at the needle when you quilt. She thinks of her quilting as an organic whole, not as "what does this block/sashing/border need." When discussing the "quilt as you go" process - she recommended THE Expert (in her opinion) Marianne Haak, whose site is The Quilting Edge and her tutorials on this process are found here.
