QuiltCon 2024 - MQG Community Outreach Challenge and the MQG Member Exhibit for !
Create a quilt around the idea of SYMMETRY using the colors in the image below. We know asymmetry is a common trait of many modern quilts, but symmetrical quilts can of course ALSO be modern! Will your symmetry be horizontal? Vertical? Another direction? There are many interpretations of the idea of symmetry!
Use 4-8 colors from this palette, with no additions.
You'll find all the details through the link Here.
Submissions are limited this year and will be accepted October 15 thru December 15, 2023, or after 80 quilts are submitted, whichever comes first
QuiltCon 2024 - Windham Artisan Cotton 2024 Challenge
The inspiring Jacquie Gering, the Featured Lecturer for QuiltCon 2024, has chosen our Windham Challenge palette this year! We are so happy we get to gaze at these beautiful Artisan Cotton cross-weaves for QuiltCon 2024. What will you make?
Quilters may use from 3 to 6 colors in the palette to create their quilt. Any other fabric, neutrals, etc. may not be used on the quilt top or binding. Makers may use any fabric of their choice for the quilt backing.
Windham Fabrics has generously offered 500 complementary fat eighth bundles for our members. You will receive a bundle sign-up email on June 1, 2023. Sign-ups will close when the 500 bundles are claimed, or on June 5, 2023, whichever comes first. Click Here to see details
QuiltCon 2024 - American Patchwork & Quilting Super Scrappy Challenge
The team at American Patchwork & Quilting has such a fun challenge for members this year! Make. It. Scrappy.
Members must use a minimum of 30 fabrics for this QuiltCon 2024 quilt challenge. How can such chaos be modern? Show us!
Yes - we said 30 fabrics. Grab solids, go through your prints…maybe use different substrates! Click Here for more details.
